ITUC-AP HTUR Network prepared a list of priority cases for discussion at the CAS ILC 2018

The ITUC - Asia Pacific Human and Trade Union Rights (ITUC-AP HTUR) network contact points in its meeting in Seoul, Korea on 26 - 27 March 2018 prepared a list of priority cases from the region for potential inclusion in the list to be negotiated for the discussion at the International Labour Conference (ILC) Committee and Application of Standards (CAS) 2018.
The meeting identified 11 cases; they are concerning Conventions No. 87 and No. 98 on Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining, Convention No. 19 on Equality Treatment (Accident Compensation), Convention No. 81 on Labour Inspection, Convention No. 105 on Abolition of Forced Labour, Convention No. 100 on Equal Remuneration and Convention No. 111 on Discrimination (Employment and Occupation).
The current ILO debate agenda on (1) Effective ILO development cooperation in support of the sustainable development (general discussion) (2) Violence and harassment against women and men in the world of work (standard setting, double discussion) and (3) A recurrent discussion on the strategic objective of social dialogue and tripartism, under the follow-up to the ILO Declaration on Social Justice for a fair globalisation was also debated and discussed in the meeting.
