10th Regional General Council - Proposed Changes to the Terms of Reference (ToR) and Rules of Procedure (RoP) of the ITUC Youth Committee

The ITUC-AP Youth Committee gave an oral report on the Proposed Changes to the ToR set out in the annexure in Resolution 3 of the 10th ITUC-AP General Council Meeting in Manila.  The proposed changes called for harmonization and specification of the rules, procedures, and practice for membership in, nomination to, and election of representatives in the ITUC Constitutional Bodies and the ITUC Youth Committee.

In particular, the proposed changes aim at: removing stipulation ambiguities; formalize the link between ITUC Youth Committee and the regional youth committees; maintain coordination with the ITUC regional organizations; and maintain consistency with established democratic decision-making procedures and practices for membership in, nomination to, and election of representatives.
