A resolution where the ITUC-AP supports the conclusions of the Tripartite Meeting of Experts on Violence Against the Women and Men in the World of Work which highlighted the need for a more robust standard on violence in the world of work with a particular focus on Gender-based violence. There was also a highlight on the important role of women, with support from affiliates in terms of current discussions and beyond.
The affiliates are called to develop a coordinated and targeted plan of action and implementation strategy in terms of contacting and holding discussions with relevant ministries and national/enterprise level, as well as ensure the participation of women in any necessary discussions. The ITUC-AP is also called to continue gathering evidence from relevant parties, expand networks, monitor actions and reports, and coordinate with and support affiliate actions.
